Why do all this..??... Why this role-playing thing..??...
1. First of all, is fun, is entertaining, or it can be great fun if done right
- it will add an extra layer of fun on top of "working" as a CEO in the virto Mary realm
2. Second, will bring us closer, will help us bond with each other, and not lastly builds up online friendships and maintains those friendships for years and years to come
- some of us we may never have the chance to be real-life friends, or ever see each in real-life, but those role-playing games can make us great online friends
3. Third, you'll make money, yes, you'll make money from your role-play
as the "Founder & Leader" of our team, I am also the Founder and the Admin of this forum,
as such, as it was intended from the start, by design, I am also the creator of the role-playing Alternate Universe build up upon the virto Mary realm, as a Fandom, Text-Based-Role-Play using a "post-by-play" style of playing
with that I am also what is usually called in the role-playing community the GM, the Game Master, creating the roleplaying setting, the environment, the virtual world, the Alternate Univers build up based on the Mary realm, this very forum of ours, creating the monetary system, that you all see at work, creating the Marketplace, that you'll soon see and use, creating the role-playing games and events in here, and in the end, by design, I am also the one with the capabilities to reward you all for playing, for role-playing for having fun...
also part of my responsibilities as the GM is to keep it fair for all and with this task, the Moderators will help me as well...
but, back to the money part
in-game, in our virto Mary realm, what we call in-game, our game-admins there will reward us for playing with the in-game cash we receive there by managing our virtual business there, in Mary realm - and you all are quite good at making money there, otherwise, you won't be here anyway... hehe...
in-forum, here, our Game-Masters, aka myself and maybe other admins who will eventually join the team of GM's, well, our GM's have the option to reward role-players for roleplaying... with in-forum money, with in-forum cash...
yes, it's just in-forum virtual cash, but it is similar with in-game virtual cash, not to mention can and will be transferred as need it, when need from in-game to in-forum and from in-forum to in-game
some of those rewards, as forum cash, you already see at work, you'll earn some cash for posting, for activity, if you are active, if you participate, you'll then earn some in-forum cash - from the GM's
then, being a contributor to the forum content, the forum development, being a reporter, being a Mentor, a Trainer, a Moderator, a Greeter, a forum Staff member, will also earn you some in-forum cash - from the GM's
now, starting our role-playing Alternate Universe, and participating in this role-playing, becoming a role-player yourself, playing with others and having fun, will also earn you some in-form cash - from the GM's
not just by simply posting your role-play steps or turns, not just by writing, what you do, how you do it and all that is involved with the role-playing that you are involved with...
you will also earn some extra cash, by in fact participating in the role-play activities and events that happen at a given time...
A clear list of activities and events, generic called games, that will pay in-forum cash-money, and how much money will be earned per event-activity-game and per participant, will be posted in a separate article and made a sticky for everyone to see and make reference to it...
if you never being actively seriously involved in a roleplaying community, you may not fully understand how it works at a first glance, but, usually the roleplaying is an extra layer, an extension of a game that gamers play - in our case here, we are all already playing virto in Mary realm, we are already virtual business owners and/or politicians there
hence, is just the natural step to role-play as wealthy business owners "out of the office" in our own Alternate Universe here, in-forum, which is by design also a roleplaying environment...
why is our forum a roleplaying environment?
it has a reward system, it has a monetary system with its own currency of virtual money, it has a Marketplace to acquire virtual assets, it has a trading system to buy-sell-gift items among participants, it has players, it has a Staff team, it has an Admin-GM team, it's a modern version of a software with a great web-application serving this software in the background, thus, all that and more makes it an ideal role-playing online virtual environment
but, for everyone to have an even better understanding, especially the ones that maybe a bit new to the roleplaying games and how it works, I will give some basic examples, in a separate article...
for now, as the old saying goes:
