It came to the attention of one of the most popular Swwedish Newspeper, Dagens Nyheter (Daily News), that the owner of GVS Ltd, a recently started company in the Mary virtoworld, is a descendant of an old Viking family who migrated centuries ago to Sweden. According to Gerard Van Seer, the owner of the company, the family legends speak even of the abduction of an Irish prince by his ancesters, which may explain his red hair and pale skin.
The company is specialising in the mining industry all over the world, with its HQ in Umea, a city in the region of Norrland. In an interview with the Dagens Nyheter, Gerard Van Seer elaborated on his long term goal to become mayor of Umea, but said also that this couldn't be reached without the help of some sympathetic members of the political party Liberal Front, the rumour goes that some of them allready putting buiness units in the Umea area to get some political influence.
At the moment GVS Ltd has several oil mines, Bauxite extraction and salt- and silica mines. The last two will be important for the future LED industry, where Gerard foresees a great expansion, because the recent climate debates will have their impact on the public view to reduce their personal footprints on the climate.
At the same time Gerard warned about some political parties that are now trying to infiltrate in Sweden with the aim to controll it for personal profits instead of thinking to improve the lifestyle of the citizens. As a true pre-politician, he woodn't name any particular party, but mentioned that Liberal Front is always looking out for - and listening to - the citizens in the cities.
